We continue with the always growing list of which family friendly restaurants stay open and which take a break? I’ve put together a list of awesome spots where you can still grab a bite, relax, and have a blast with the whole crew. Just a quick tip: always call ahead because sometimes the owners surprise us with spontaneous winter getaways! 😎
So, let’s dive into the best family-friendly restaurants still serving up delicious meals and fun vibes on our island this winter.
North Ibiza (East & West)
Bistro Mondo
Location: San Juan
Bistro Mondo is an absolute gem! This place is all about world-class comfort food in a laid-back garden setting. The kids can wonder safely around in the garden here. It’s like a food trip around the world, with flavors that’ll make everyone happy. Plus, it’s trendy and cool, so you’ll feel like you’re discovering a little island secret every time you visit.
The Boat House
Location: Cala San Vicente
If you’re looking for a place that’s as fun as it is delicious, The Boat House is your spot. With its boat-themed decor, it’s like dining on the water (without actually being on a boat). This means your kids will be fascinated by the underwater world inside of the restaurant, and you’ll love the diverse menu full of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Asian fusion dishes. It’s a fun, adventurous dining experience that both kids and adults will love! And with the beach right in front, you can do after dinner coffees & drinks forever while the kids keep playing...
Lydia’s North
Location: San Juan road
Lydia’s North is the ultimate comfort food haven. We’re talking burgers, hot dogs, and nachos—the kind of food that kids love and - admit it - secretly, us adults do too. Add in some live music, and it’s the perfect family hangout. Just one important thing to keep in mind: it’s right by a busy road, so make sure to keep an eye on your little adventurers very well to not play to near.
Juntos House
Location: Santa Eulalia
Juntos House is a magical farm-to-table experience for families, because it an ECO-farm. The farm actually has high ambitions and already started to producing locally brewed products such as essential oils, honey, gift spices cans and a range of cosmetics from the farm. The kids can play and learn about where their food comes from, while you enjoy fresh, organic dishes in a beautiful, rustic setting.
San Carlos Bar Restaurante
Location: San Carlos
San Carlos Bar Restaurante is a cozy, relaxed spot where you can enjoy traditional Spanish dishes while the kids run wild. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, making it the perfect place for a family meal after a fun day out. They grill much of their meats and fish and have both a cosy inside area as large covered terrace.
Restaurante Cala Llenya
Location: Cala Llenya
Cala Llenya is a down to earth spot—simple food, it used to be the central hang-out of the Cala Llenya market, but sadly this market has been off and on. So we can not guarantee the market is there next sunday. What does also make it extra special is the live music, which adds a fun, festive vibe to your meal. It’s the perfect place for families who want a simple, delicious local meal while seeing your kid turn into a happy dancing hippie.
These are just a few of the family-friendly gems Ibiza has to offer this winter. I will add more ones in a while. So, gather the kids, grab your appetite, and get ready for some delicious adventures on the island. Bon appétit, Ibiza style! ✨
