Yeay! The short list of Ibiza's go-to playground for every municipal
Kids on Ibiza hardly need an old-fashioned playground, with all this nature, beach and a family friendly vibe in hospitality kids can play everywhere with their amazing imagination and creativity. Then again, sometimes the kids like to hang out together in a fun and playful area. Or you need a break from your cutypie who wants to play with mom or dad in the pool on a daily base. Whatever the reason, I kindly offer a few local faves:
Playground in Puig d’en Valls, “Plaza del Mestre Terrisser Frigoles”: (central/Ibiza-town)
This brand-new playground at Plaza del Mestre Terrisser Frígoles in Puig d’en Valls is absolutely fantastic. In the middle of a lovely new area of newly build houses you can feel the community spirit. It is a massive 1,400 square meter park with swings, zip lines, cool glides and sports areas. They added much shade and some larger sports field. Ibiza also has plans to expand it even further. It’s a beautiful tribute to the beloved local potter, Antoni Marí ‘Frígoles. Time to go check it out!
Playground, Parc infantil del Passeig Marítim, Marina
(Ibiza town/Marina Botafoc)
Many people love the Playground: Parc Infantil del Passeig Marítim in Marina Ibiza, another gem for families and it is one you can barely avoid, because if you go for a drink at Cappuccino or another bar inside of the Marina gates you pass by it. This one boasts fun fairytale play structures, such as a pirate ship, but it also has a zip line and many other structures that keep kids of all ages entertained for hours. The location is lovely, right along the marina, offering stunning views of yachts and the beautiful sea. While the kiddos are busy turning the playground into their personal adventure zone, parents can chill on the benches and finally enjoy some uninterrupted people-watching. Somehing that can be fun in this area.
A park with a view? Parque Es Cubells
(South/West)
Es Cubells is a small village on the South/West coast that everybody should visit at least once because of the stunning views and relaxed feel. It has a serene vibe to it, with an idyllic church and just two restaurants. Right next to one restaurant with the mind-blowing view is a playground. It is not a big one, with just a climbing structure, slide, and a few moving objects, but it is worth mentioning because it will help you enjoy the chillness of this village or your cold glass of wine on the terrace.
Another park with a view is in the Nort - parque Es Figueral:
(North)
This charming playground offers various climbing structures, swings, and slides, providing endless fun for kids. With its prime beachfront location, parents can relax and enjoy the stunning views while the little ones play safely.
The big ones: Parque Es Familiar (Mercadonna) Recreativo, Santa Eulalia
(East)
Just hit up the playground in Santa Eulalia, and it’s a kid’s paradise! There is a huge play structure—the biggest on the island— which has giant slides, epic climbing frames, and swings that’ll keep the little ones entertained for hours. Located right by the beach, it’s the perfect spot for family fun. You’ll often see people throwing birthday parties here, complete with food and drinks for everyone. Parents can relax on benches and soak in the serene vibes while the kids have a blast. Definitely worth a visit!
Parque Santa Gertrudis centro
If you find yourself near Santa Gertrudis, the best place for some family fun is the playground right in the heart of town. This charming spot is a favorite among locals and visitors. Across from the kids park are a range of bars and restaurants. So, if your kid is at an age where they can play independently, you can hang out with some other parents or friends at a terrace across from the playground. They only need to cross a quiet street with a zebra crossing in front of the playground entrance. Enjoy some tapas and drinks while keeping an eye on your little ones having fun. This playground features a cute little house for tiny adventurers, three swings (including one for babies), a spinning area, seesaws, and a slide with a vertical wooden ladder. It is fully fenced on the street side and has a soft rubber surface to keep the kiddos safe while they play. There’s also a large square next to it where kids can ride bikes, scooters, or play ball games and another square with picnic tables.
Playground next to the beach: Parque de Ses Pitiüses, Figueretes
(Ibiza town)
You like to end the day with a drink in the sunshine. Located at the end of the Figueretes promenade, this playground features a unique green structure with various holes perfect for climbing, jumping, and hiding. The kids will have a blast exploring this fun setup! Plus, the views of the sea are incredible. The ground is covered with a rubber surface for safety, and there are benches nearby for parents to relax. And the kids can hop from beach to playground in seconds. Most importantly, there are a few promenade restaurants right next to it, so you can have a tapa and a drink while the kids run wild.
