Cheersing all January Long: Ibiza Families celebrates the New Year at Yemanja!

Written on 31/12/2024

<UPDATE: The Ibiza Families event is fully booked. Jippie!
Don't worry there are still normal tables to be booked, but our area is sold out >

With Cala Jondal just a seven-minute drive away, falling for Yemanja was inevitable. I admit, the area is renowned for its jet-set vibe and flashy appeal, with yachts anchoring, practically bursting at the seams with celebs and sunburned influencers. But as mere mortal residents, we’re not on the lookout to chase that glitz and glam; we just want to enjoy a great meal and some sunshine. We’re after another type of magic that Yemanja serves up: a laid-back, unpretentious escape where everyone feels welcome. That’s exactly why we’re hosting our New Year celebration and first circle meetup here at the end of January!

End of January? New years celebrations?  Yep. As a Dutchie, we're used to living in a cold & rainy land.  With not much to celebrate they cling to New Year’s cheersing like it’s a life raft in a sea of gloom. Amsterdam’s January is a blur of bubbles parties —anything to ward off the winter blues a little longer. You’ll find bubbles flowing and cheerful toasts happening all January long—a necessary buffer before falling back in to the winter depression vibes. That said, of course we didn’t move to Ibiza to keep all Dutch habits, but this one? It’s worth hanging onto! After all, Ibiza Families wouldn’t be Ibiza Families if we didn’t find a way to stretch the celebrations just a little longer. This is why we celebrate the New Year on the 25th of January 2025.

To keep this 2025 celebration sparkle alive, we’ve teamed up with Yemanja for an intimate pre-launch event that promises welcoming cava on arrival, a specially priced delicous menu, and a warm, cheerful vibe with some fun for our kids. Spots are very limited, so sign up and toast with us to what’s sure to be a bright year ahead!

But let’s also talk about the real reason Yemanja is such a standout: the food. They’ve mastered the art of Mediterranean dining with a gourmet flair while staying true to traditional flavors. And as somebody who normally isn’t a fan of Paella I can tell you to me theirs are award-winning amd on to top it up they also do sizzling meat grilled on stone, vibrant salads, and unforgettable tapas. The sangria cava pairs perfectly with the seaside views. For kids, we recommend ordering a mix of tapas and sides. This time of year, with Blue Marlin closed, the restaurant gets even better—a spacious sandy area becomes an oasis for kids to run wild while parents kick back and soak up the sunshine.

While Yemanja leans toward the pricier side, it’s one of those places where you truly get what you pay for: high-quality ingredients, top-notch service, and an ambiance that turns any lunch into a mini-holiday. Plus, all Ibiza Families members will from now on enjoy a fabulous 20% discount, making this luxury experience more accessible than ever.

So, ready to raise your glass and keep the New Year cheer alive? Join us at Yemanja for a cozy, bubbly celebration that’ll leave you smiling long into 2025. Cheers! 🥂
