5 Must-Visit Family sunny restaurants on Ibiza

Unlike many northern European countries, children are welcome almost everywhere in Ibiza, from simple cafés to elegant restaurants. This is what I love about Ibiza: you can take your kids anywhere! For this reason, I’m not focusing on the typical Spanish restaurants in this list, as they usually serve similar food and always have room for the little ones. In most places, kids can order half portions of menu dishes. Waiters greet them with a smile, often handing out paper, pencils, and even toys.

But let’s be honest, kids can be picky—whether it’s about food or sitting still for too long. That’s why here I’m sharing some spots with an extra touch to entertain the little ones, letting us parents relax too!

Boutique Hostal La Curandera De Salinas, Salinas

This special place features a pool where most kids over 5 can stand and an amazing playground with equipment made from recycled materials.  The spectacular carousel works when an adult or older child pedals on a special bike. The food is pure, simple, seasonal, and mostly healthy and locally sourced. Think of it as an eco-paradise where your kids can play while you enjoy a delicious farm-to-table meal. One of the best-kept secrets we were hesitant to share...

Restaurante Oli: Figueretas, Puig d'en Valls, Pueblo de Sant Jordi

This casual local favorite has three locations and focuses on hearty comfort food in a friendly atmosphere. What makes it stand out on our favorites list is the private playground at its Puig d'en Valls location and the incredible beach boulevard in Figueretas—happy kids = happy parents. Yes!

Bar Can Jaume, Cala Vadella Beach

This simple, family-friendly spot is located right on Cala Vadella Beach, known for its shallow waters, perfect for small children to safely explore the sea. The bouncy castle is available almost year-round, and the kids’ menu is very affordable. Children can also order from the regular menu, with most dishes under 15 euros. Tapas, pizzas, salads, and a variety of cold drinks and cocktails make it easy to relax all day. During high season, they screen a children’s movie every night on a giant screen, complete with a popcorn machine! Happy kids, happy parents. And who doesn’t love a chilled day by the beach?

Es Jardín des Fruitera, Santa Gertrudis

Enjoy traditional Ibizan dishes in a countryside setting, surrounded by gardens within an old finca with terraces. The bouncy castle for kids is tucked into a fenced corner of the grounds near the restaurant, allowing adults to enjoy their meal while the kids play. It’s like dining in a rustic fairytale—with a bouncy castle included!

Bam-Bu-Ku, San Antonio Bay

Bam-Bu-Ku Ibiza is a family oasis filled with vibrant and colorful décor, with plenty to keep kids entertained. Parents can relax on comfy sun loungers by the pool, on the sand, or in the restaurant, all with sea views. The kids’ club includes a playground and supervised activities. The pool area features a shallow section for younger swimmers. The restaurant offers a kids’ menu with options like macaroni, chicken filet, fish, or pizza. But the biggest draw is the Flowrider, Ibiza’s only artificial wave machine, perfect for beginners and experienced surfers alike. The ultimate mix of fun, food, and swimming! Unfortunately, it’s not open year-round.

I could name many more, but I’ll stick to this initial selection for this post end of this summer... Stay tuned for more recommendations. For instance, we also love the pool area at Nobu Hotel! But I’ll save that for a list of favorite hotels. And surely everyone already knows La Paloma in the north, with its beautiful gardens, playground, and special vibe, so I skipped the obvious. Ibiza Town will get its own segment soon, don’t worry! The newcomer La Pandilla in Salinas didn’t make it to this list this time—maybe next! More coming soon!
