Guided by Anne Marie, they paused along the way to reflect on empowering affirmations—or “afformations,” as we learned they’re called (a mix of affirmations and questions to inspire optimism). Each stop involved moments of laughter, exploration, and quiet mindfulness—a lesson that positivity can bloom in the wildest of places.
Creativity in Nature
Anne Marie and her team are wizards at blending art with the natural world. One event had the kids collecting wild blossoms and learning how to photograph them against the golden Ibizan light. My daughter’s flower photos ended up being so gorgeous that I almost wanted to submit them to a gallery!
And then there was the day spent making masks from natural materials found in the forest. Twigs, bark, and leaves were transformed into magical creations that felt straight out of a fairytale. My daughter said she felt like a woodland sprite as she tied the mask on—and honestly, so did I watching her.

During a wild kayaking adventure, the children paddled along the coastline, stopping to clean up a hidden beach. They learned not only the practicalities of kayaking but also how small actions like picking up litter can make a big difference.
Another day brought the kids closer to Ibiza’s wildlife, learning about the creatures that share the island with us and how to protect their habitats. My daughter came home talking about “spirit animals” and how the wild horses and owls of Ibiza represent courage and wisdom. I loved seeing her face light up as she shared what she had learned.
