The weather is warming up, the first sandals are making their yearly debut, and the kids are already asking when they can swim again... Yep, it's official: Ibiza is waking up from its winter nap! âïž
Let me tell you about Parco Ibiza, one of my favorite spots on the island. Now, as Ibiza residents, we all know weâre not out here living the tourist dreamâbecause, letâs face it, unless youâre an early pensioner, most of us still work hard for our money...
Get ready, Ibiza Families! This Saturday, April 12, the island will be buzzing with energy as the Santa EulĂ ria Ibiza Marathon takes over our roads, towns, and hearts! Whether youâve got a runner in the family, a little one who loves to cheer, or youâre just up for some fresh air and good vibes â this event is one of those feel-good island moments you donât want to miss.
A Day at the Farm
Hey there, fellow Ibiza moms and dads! đ We've discovered some fantastic, free family activities that have brought endless joy to our little onesâand to us grown-ups too! Here's a bubbly roundup of our top picks:
One of the many reasons we adore living on Ibiza is that, even in the quieter months, there's always something vibrant happening around the island. Small village festivals pop up like delightful surprises, reminding us how joyful and lively island life is all year round! Sant Josep de sa Talaia is now gearing up for its annual festivities in honor of Saint Joseph, a wonderful reason to gather, laugh, and celebrate community spirit together. From octopus frying competitions to hippie-themed partiesâthere's something delightful for everyone, especially if you love quirky events and family fun (we certainly do!). So, letâs dive into all the exciting activities lined up:
Alright Ibiza parent, in all fairness many of us try to be the âno treats todayâ type of parent. As parents we actually waited with sugar until our little one was 3 years old. But then our little munchkins give us that puppy-eyed look, and before we know it, weâre handing over a chocolate croissant the size of their head. So, letâs just embrace it: handing out treats is fun, and there are plenty of amazing places on Ibiza where your kiddo can get something tasty without turning into a human bouncy ball. Bonus? You might get to sip calmly on some quality coffee while they indulge.
As a parent living on this vibrant island, Iâm always on the lookout for unique experiences that keep my kid feeling this fantastic luxury of being close to nature. If you feel like it's about time to keep yours further away from screens and near to ground earth: Enter *Child of the Wild Ibiza*! This magical initiative, led by the passionate and inspiring Anne Marie, is everything I didnât know my family needed. Itâs where children step out of the everyday and into a world brimming with creativity, exploration, and connection to the wild side of Ibiza.

Every year, winter on Ibiza feels like a little surprise box. Some restaurants stay open, others head off on their winter holidaysâbut donât worry! I keep rounding up some short lists of fantastic spots where the whole family can enjoy food, fun, and enjoy some island sunshine. Just a heads upâbefore you head out, itâs always good to give them a quick call, as some owners like to take surprise vacations during the quieter months.
We continue with the always growing list of which family friendly restaurants stay open and which take a break? Iâve put together a list of awesome spots where you can still grab a bite, relax, and have a blast with the whole crew. Just a quick tip: always call ahead because sometimes the owners surprise us with spontaneous winter getaways! đ

Every winter, itâs like playing a game of âWhich Restaurants Are Open?ââsome stay open, others decide itâs time for a cozy holiday themselves. But no worries, Iâve rounded up a list of amazing spots where your family can still enjoy delicious meals, fun vibes, and lots of belly laughs. Just remember to call aheadâsometimes the owners decide to sneak in a winter break!
Exploring Ibiza's natural beauty with your children can be an unforgettable adventure. Here are four family-friendly hikes that combine the island's rich history, stunning landscapes, and a touch of mystery to keep your little explorers engaged:
Gamify mealtime and they'll eat enough for a life-time! Thereâs something magical about the kitchen when my 6-year-young daughter and I step into it together. Itâs not just about the foodâitâs the giggles, the experiments, and the shared triumphs when something comes out of the oven just right. Together, weâve turned cooking into our favorite creative playground. And let me tell you, itâs a game-changer for getting her to eat her veggies and actually love mealtime!
For those unfamiliar with island life, it might seem like living on a vacation spot is all about relaxation. But, just like anyone living in non-vacation cities, we too have jobs, feel stress, and manage daily life. Of course, weâre lucky enough to end our day by unwinding on the beach or in lush countryside gardens and seaviews. That said when we really need to escape the daily grind, our beautiful sister island, Formentera, is just a short commute away, waiting to be explored. I'd love to share our familyâs favorite plans to ensure a short family stay in Formentera is worth it.
